sustainability for dummies

i honestly can’t say for now that i believe we can actually save the planet. however what i do believe is that when mankind was placed on earth, the mandate was to tend to & groom it, like one would do to a garden or a place they consider home. the evidence around us is enough proof that we’ve done the opposite, we’ve brought more harm than good to the ecosystem.

whilst unpacking sustainability requires more than a blog post, becoming a vejan, or reading an online report but those are good places to start. now that you’re here, i encourage you to read the fashion ceo agenda. i found it to be a useful resource as a designer and as an earth being. i might not be able to stop floods and forest fires from happening but there’s enough within my control that i can do to be a better steward of our home. the agenda demystifies sustainability; no abstract wording or dreamy concepts. in simple, straightforward writing backed my facts and reliable data it outlines the problem, offers solutions and highlights opportunities.

anyways, i tend to get too sentimental sometimes particularly about issues i’m passionate about or are to do with humanity’s future. i’ll stop here, lest this starts to sound like a journal entry.

still with me?great.

do your own research and make better decisions.

open your eyes to the climate crisis around you. it is neither a fashion problem nor is it a marketing stunt. it’s about humanity, advocating for those who’ve suffered at the expense of greed & consumerism. it’s about our home, & ensuring it still remains home for us and certainly those to come.

let us tend to the garden.
