on miracles and hope deferred.

"miracles destroy the natural order of things, that’s why they are not rampant."

in the old testament when the angel disturbed the water, only the first to enter was healed whilst the rest didn’t get any healing.

the israelites had to look unto the serpent.

moses had to be prepared.

even Jesus told his mother his time was not due at the wedding, and He didn’t perform miracles recklessly. Hebrews mention that the fathers died without seeing the promise.

thus most people and most christians will die without receiving the miracles they seek and that does not make God unfaithful. we need not make christianity a need-based religion- it is literally a way of life. we must walk that life while we seek to improve ourselves to attain the best versions of ourselves.

the laws of nature level the playing field. for example, if an unbeliever sows, s/he will reap. if a believer doesn’t sow, s/he will not reap. we must work to change the system to get the comfortable lives that we seek."
